نُشر في “الشروق” في ٢ ديسمبر ٢٠١٢ يجب أن أعترف أن أحداث الأيام العشرة الماضية أفقدتنى الكثير من التفاؤل الذى كنت أتمسك به منذ اندلاع الثورة. كان تفاؤلى دائما مبنيا على اقتناعى بأن معادلة مبارك (إما القمع أو الخراب) معادلة بائسة لا تليق بنا، وأننا، كشعب وكدولة، قادرون على مواجهة تحديات الثورة، وأن المؤسسات التى بنيناها على مدار تاريخنا الحديث، من شرطة وجيش وقضاء وصحافة وجامعات ونقابات وبيروقراطية الجهاز الإدارى للدولة، هذه المؤسسات قد تكون فى حاجة لإعادة هيكلة، ولكنها صلبة يمكن أن تصمد أمام عنفوان الثورة. وكنت أيضا أعتقد أننا قادرون على التعامل مع أكبر تحديين يواجهانا، كيفية إخراج…
